Your privacy matters

This Privacy Policy explains how e signature ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our iOS application. e signature is built with a privacy-first approach: your documents and signatures are processed and stored directly on your device, not on our servers.

1. No account required

e signature does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal identifier to use the App.

2. Information stored on your device

The following content is created by you and stored locally on your device (and, if you enable iCloud backups at the operating-system level, may be included in your personal iCloud backup):

• Scanned and imported documents (PDFs, images, Word, Excel and other files)
• Signatures, initials and stamps you create or scan from paper
• Document names, dates, and the text extracted by on-device OCR for search purposes
• A PIN you optionally set to lock individual documents (stored securely in the device Keychain, never transmitted anywhere)

We do not have access to this content. It is never uploaded to our servers.

3. Device permissions

The App requests the following permissions, only when you use the related feature:

• Camera — to scan documents and to photograph a signature written on paper.
• Photo Library — to import existing documents and photos, and to save exported pages when you choose to.
• Face ID — to unlock documents you have chosen to protect, and to unlock the App itself if you enable App Lock. Face ID data is managed entirely by iOS and never leaves your device or reaches us.
• Notifications — to send you optional reminders (for example, about your free trial). You can disable these at any time in iOS Settings.

4. Analytics

We use PostHog, a privacy-conscious analytics provider, to understand how the App is used in aggregate (for example, which screens are viewed and which features are used) so we can improve it. This data is not linked to your identity, does not include the content of your documents or signatures, and is not used for cross-app tracking or advertising.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, a subscription management platform. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription-status information (such as your anonymous purchase ID and entitlement status) needed to unlock features in the App. We do not receive your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with the service providers described above (PostHog for analytics, RevenueCat and Apple for purchases), each of whom is contractually restricted from using it for any purpose other than providing their service to us.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because your documents and signatures are stored on your device, you can delete them at any time from within the App, or remove all data by deleting the App from your device. To request deletion of any analytics or purchase data associated with your device, contact us using the details below.

8. Children's privacy

e signature is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
